Face mask in 3 layers for adults, National Theater, black, L/XL, reusable, with nose clip

Reusable organic 3-layer face mask with adjustable nose clip, with an edgy motif of National Museum. Design by Marie Dyekjær Eriksen.

When the National Theatre was built in London in the 1960s, it was a stormy event. National Theatre is built in the style called béton brut – orbrutalism – consisting of dominative buildings founded in concrete. The new thatre was described as a cunning way to “sneak a neclear plant into the heart of London”. But even though the brutal, grey concrete buildings can seem cold and anti-human, the broken lines create a certain aesthetics which for me represents something cool, urban and contemporary, whilst reminding us of the 20th century’s architectual history. Note: Our face masks are not categorized as safety equipment, personal protective equipment nor medical equipment. We believe that medical and professional protective equipment should be prioritised for health personnel. Our face mask is a community face mask that can be used as a supplement and not as a replacement for other health authorities’ recommendations, such as physical distancing and hand washing. The ECDC (European Center for Disease Prevention and Control) recommends that the use of face masks and respirators are prioritised for healthcare professionals. The use of non-medical face masks made of textiles may be considered as a complementary measure and not as a substitute for other recommendations of the health authorities. As our face mask is recyclable and not manufactured for single use, it is not CE marked. It meets best practice for cloth face masks, as it is produced in 3 layers and has a polypropylene filter in the middle.

First layer: 100% certified organic cotton
Second layer: Meltblown antibacterial polypropylene material
Third layer: 100% certified organic cotton

Can be washed at 40 or 60 degrees with detergent. If you wash at 60 degrees, however, you must be aware that the cotton obviously can shrink slightly. To prevent the cotton from shrinking, we recommend steaming the face mask at 65 degrees in an ordinary oven over a baking pan with 1 liter of boiled water for 20 minutes. NOTE: As the face mask has a metal nose clip, it should NOT be microwaved. The recommendation comes from and is based on an American meta-study from May 2020, where they have mapped how masks infected with virus particles react to a handful of different cleaning methods.
